Hypocrisy is a melodic Death Metal band from Ludvika, Sweden, formed in 1991 by Mastermind Peter Tägtgren. They started as a traditional Death Metal band, but soon started to incorporate melodic elements in their sound. To this day Hypocrisy released twelve full length albums, four EPs, two demos, two compilations, two live releases and four singles. Albums like Penetralia, The Fourth Dimension or The Final Chapter are under my most heard albums ever.

There’s no doubt that Peter Tägtgren is one of the big guys in Metal today. He’s the mastermind behind Hypocrisy and Pain, was involved in different positions in Lock Up, The Abyss, Marduk, War or Bloodbath and highly influenced bands such as Sabaton, Dimmu Borgir, Amon Amarth, Children of Bodom or Amorphis as a producer. The list of records produced in his Abyss studio in Pärlby outside Ludvika, Sweden, reads like a best of (mostly Scandinavian) Metal.

Hypocrisy - End Of Disclosure - Artwork

End of Disclosure is the 12th album which came out just this year. Lyrically it deals with conpiracy and anti-illuminati themes. Its cover artwork was done by Wes Benscoter – one of the veterans of Metal imagery. Benscoter is an American artist from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Apart from being famous for his Metal artworks, he also has made covers for magazines and books, shirt designs, and his art is featured in many galleries around the world. Most of his work is done using airbrush.

Here are four other amazing symmetric artworks he did: Vader‘s De Profundis (1995), Kreator‘s Phantom Antichrist (2012), Incantation‘s Mortal Throne of the Nazarene (1994) and Sinister‘s Diabolical Summoning (1993).
